ECO-FRIENDLY: Haven’t we polluted the earth enough? The manufacturing of plastic products releases a whole set of chemicals into the atmosphere. These products eventually find their way into our eco systems through the air, water and land pollution. Not only are PLA EcoStraws made from renewable plant-based materials but they also require 68% fewer fossil fuel resources to produce than traditional plastic and are commercially compostable to boot. This makes them a more sustainable choice in comparison to their plastic counterparts.

GREAT GIFT: Do you have a friend who is obsessed with fitness and spends most of their time making healthy and refreshing fruit juices? A set of PLA EcoStraws would be the perfect gift for anyone who is fitness conscious and concerned about the environment. These straws can be used to enjoy all sorts of delicious drinks including frozen cocktails, iced tea, fruit juices, milkshakes and smoothies.

SAFE: In terms of single use drinking straws, PLA EcoStraws are so similar to plastic straws that they are often confused. Hence, if you have young childrenwho like to throw things around the table during breakfast, invest in PLA EcoStraws and you won’t have to worry about any breakages.

GUARANTEED: All our EcoStraws are fully backed by our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If they don’t meet your expectations, return them for a full refund. Or if they ever break, we’ll replace them, free of charge. That is how confident we are in the quality of our products.

Description

The voice against the plastic straw is becoming ever stronger and many companies are now pledging to ‘Refuse the Straw’. In Ireland, we use over 1 million plastic straws every day. Nature can take over 500 years to break down this plastic. With landfills, and increasingly the marine environment accounting for more and more of this debris, we cannot continue to ignore this problem. That is why we are proud to offer you our CPLA Straws.

Compostable PLA or CPLA Straws as an alternative hold a number of benefits. PLA stands for polylactic acid, and we make it from renewable resources, such as sugarcane or corn starch. Not only do we make CPLA Straws from renewable plant-based materials but they also require 68% fewer fossil fuel resources to produce than traditional plastic straws and are commercially compostable to boot. This makes them a more sustainable choice in comparison to their plastic counterparts. The material boasts an excellent balance of translucency, strength, toughness, and processability. They are also sturdy and hold well in drinks.

Furthermore, they look just like plastic straws and customers perceive them to be more hygienic as they are also a single-use item. All resources we use to make CPLA Straws are 100% renewable. As a result, they are biodegradable and compostable, and break down in 12 weeks. After 6 months, nature will have composted 90% of the material.

We have designed CPLA Straws for use only in cold beverages; we do not recommend them for use in hot beverages over 120 F. Because they can be composted with food waste, they are a convenient fit for fast-food chains and other restaurants.

CPLA straws are available in a range of colours and sizes.
